Nursery® is a steam distilled water for babies from infants to toddlers

Nursery® is purified water processed by steam distillation with added fluoride. Baby drinking water by Nursery® was created in 1948 by Dr. Herman Bundason, then Director of the Chicago Health Department. Bundason was concerned about the sterility of municipal drinking waters when it was used to mix infant formulas both in hospitals and in homes. Today, Nursery® Water continues its commitment to purity by continuously evaluating and monitoring our water so you’ll have peace of mind in knowing that you will always have a convenient source of steam distilled water with added fluoride.

Weigh In on Weight

It's no secret that more and more Americans are becoming overweight or obese each year. The problem, however, isn't just for adults; obesity in children two to five years old has been growing steadily. Today, 12.4% of kids in this age group are considered obese, which is defined as body mass index (BMI) at or above the 95th percentile for children of the same age and sex.

Television Screen

The American Academy of Pediatrics says an hour or two of television per day is plenty for children, and kids under two shouldn't watch at all. To make sure the time your toddler spends in front of the TV is good for him: 1) look for programs with educational content and positive characters and values, 2) instead of letting your child "watch TV," allow him to watch specific programs and turn the set off when they're over and 3) stay away from violent shows, which can trigger aggressive behavior.

Rash Relief

Diaper rash is an age-old problem blamed on everything from teething to diet. Pediatricians now believe it's usually caused by moisture, chafing, yeast or bacterial infections, prolonged contact with soiled diapers or allergies to diaper materials. To treat and prevent diaper rash, change diapers often, gently clean the area and let it air-dry, apply a thick layer of protective ointment and keep the diaper loose to prevent rubbing. Skip baby wipes to avoid further irritation and call your pediatrician if the rash gets worse.
